Hopefully you had a chance to attend or watch the replay of the Q2 FY18 NextWave Huddle webinar. We covered a lot of content, so I encourage you to take the time to review the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.paloaltonetworks.com\/content\/dam\/pan\/en_US\/partners\/nextwave\/presentations\/q2-fy17-huddle.pdf\">presentation<\/a> and watch the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.paloaltonetworks.com\/partners\/nextwave-partner-portal\/partner-program\/events\">replay<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Q1 FY18 was a quarter to remember. We <a href=\"http:\/\/www.crn.com\/news\/security\/300092181\/palo-alto-networks-ceo-we-are-now-bigger-than-check-point-fast-approaching-size-of-ciscos-security-business.htm\" rel=\"nofollow,noopener\" >had a major competitive milestone<\/a>, we made two coveted Fortune lists (<a href=\"http:\/\/fortune.com\/future-50\/palo-alto-networks\/\" rel=\"nofollow,noopener\" >The Future 50<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/fortune.com\/change-the-world\/palo-alto-networks\/\" rel=\"nofollow,noopener\" >The Top 50 Change World<\/a>), and at our <a href=\"https:\/\/investors.paloaltonetworks.com\/static-files\/25b0d11d-5081-460c-b685-ae19a7c21328\">Investor Day<\/a>, we outlined our third evolution, resulting in a $5 billion boost in total addressable market.<\/p>\n<p>From a channels perspective, we had 316 partners grow greater than 100 percent year-over-year, our top 20 revenue generating partners grew more than 70 percent, and we had 4,000 partner individuals earn either a sales or technical certification. Simply astounding channels momentum.<\/p>\n<p>We had two guest speakers join the NextWave Huddle. Dean Darwin talked about the massive joint public cloud opportunity in front of us. Make sure to register for our <a href=\"http:\/\/go.paloaltonetworks.com\/epiccloud\">Epic Cloud Security Event on February 6, 2018<\/a> and check out our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.paloaltonetworks.com\/partners\/nextwave-partner-portal\/partner-program\/public-cloud\">Public Cloud Specialization<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Abby Collins talked about a new renewals initiative and the importance of protecting our install base. As part of this initiative, you can now see your renewal opportunities 365-days in advance. Visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.paloaltonetworks.com\/partners\/nextwave-partner-portal\">Partner Portal<\/a> to look for those PA-4000 and PA-5000 renewals that are ideal for a PA-5260 upsell.<\/p>\n<p>We closed out the webinar with our Q2 need to know items. Here are a few highlights:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Earn $500 per Traps deal with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.paloaltonetworks.com\/content\/dam\/pan\/en_US\/partners\/nextwave\/traps\/fy18-secureup-traps-promotion.pdf\">Secure Up the Endpoint Promotion<\/a> (<strong>ends January 19, 2018<\/strong>).<\/li>\n<li>All Diamond and Platinum partners must be Traps Specialized by <strong>July 31, 2018<\/strong> to be NextWave compliant. Use our new Traps <a href=\"https:\/\/www.paloaltonetworks.com\/content\/dam\/pan\/en_US\/partners\/nextwave\/traps\/traps-learning-guide.pdf\">Learning Guide<\/a> to help expedite your completion of this task.<\/li>\n<li>Have you earned your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.paloaltonetworks.com\/partners\/nextwave-partner-portal\/help-me-learn\/cyberforce\">CYBERFORCE<\/a> membership? If not, you have until <strong>January 31, 2018<\/strong> to do so. Not sure how close you are to earning your CYBERFORCE membership, <a href=\"https:\/\/iregevents.com\/panw\/website\/status-log-in.htm\" rel=\"nofollow,noopener\" >check your status here<\/a>.
