Palo Alto Networks advanced endpoint protection offering, Traps, has undergone extensive third-party testing to validate its strengths in replacing legacy antivirus products.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.av-test.org\/en\/\" rel=\"nofollow,noopener\" >AV-TEST<\/a>, a third-party security testing organization with extensive experience testing endpoint security software \u2013 specifically, legacy AV \u2013 put Traps through the paces. This is the first time Traps has participated in AV-TEST tests, and Traps the only next-generation endpoint protection offering tested by AV-TEST in 2017.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.av-test.org\/fileadmin\/pdf\/reports\/AV-TEST_Palo_Alto_Traps_Full_Product_Test_July_2017.pdf\" rel=\"nofollow,noopener\" >View the AV-TEST results<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Results showed <strong>100 percent detection<\/strong> of real-world attacks, as well as the maximum score on performance, with AV-TEST stating, <em>\u201c\u2026 there was nearly no measurable impact on the newer system.\u201d<\/em> These results were achieved without any reliance on signatures.<\/p>\n<p>This validation by AV-TEST follows the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.paloaltonetworks.com\/resources\/whitepapers\/traps-advanced-endpoint-protection-av-comparatives-award\">AV-Comparatives Approved Business Product award presented to Traps in October 2016<\/a>. This is a continuation of the efforts made to build upon the foundation of third-party evidence supporting Traps.
