Education and awareness of our digital safety and security have never been more important, which is why the CyberFit Nation education program has been expanded to address the unique cyber security learning needs of everyone in Australia.
It’s been a big week for Palo Alto Networks Australia – launching the latest iteration of our extensive cyber education portfolio and welcoming our Victorian colleagues into our new office in Melbourne.
Cybercrime is one of the fastest-growing criminal activities globally and is something that affects all Australians. The ACSC reported a 13 percent increase in the number of cyber crime reports it received in the last year, equating to one report of a cyber attack every eight minutes. You only need to open a newspaper to see how common cybercrime has become.
This is why we are proud to announce the launch of Cyberfit Nation, a free online educational program that addresses the unique cyber security needs of everyone, to make each day safer and more secure.
CyberFit Nation is a comprehensive education portfolio that aims to make cyber security education accessible to all. It features master classes and clinics for a range of audiences, from Kindy through to the boardroom.
The CyberFit Nation education program will be delivered virtually every quarter across Australia and will run face-to-face sessions through industry partnerships. There are several educational sessions included at launch:
Everyone has the right to feel safe and secure online, and it is our hope that CyberFit Nation helps Australians feel more confident and secure, both at work and at home. We have been fortunate to partner with a number of industry groups and organisations to bring CyberFit Nation to life.
We thank our partners at Google Cloud, Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA), Work180, Cyberlite Books, the Marvel Program, Essendon Football AWFL and Dark Mode for joining us in getting Australia CyberFit up and running.
"Cyber security learning needs have expanded, given rapid digitalization across the economy, which makes CyberFit Nation a fantastic programme. With cyber security awareness and training now accessible to boards of directors and start-ups/SMEs, it aligns with our vision to ensure continuous innovation within the ICT industry." says Simon Bush, CEO of AIIA.
