As businesses embrace increased use of cloud-delivered services across their organizations and global footprints, they also take on new security challenges. It's a paradox tied to the growing cloud ecosystem that is pivotal to driving modern digital strategies. According to a recent survey from [Google and Enterprise Strategy Group](https://cloud.google.com/blog/transform/multicloud-trends-esg-research-strategic-value-eliminate-complexity) (ESG), a majority of survey respondents say that they use multiple cloud services (infrastructure as a service providers), and predictions point to even wider adoption.
